WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama on Monday named a member of the Cherokee Nation to his domestic policy team. Kimberly Teehee, who has been working for U.S. Rep. Dale Kildee, D-Mich., will serve as senior policy adviser for American Indian affairs. Obama made the announcement in taped remarks to the National Congress of American Indians. The president also announced that the White House will hold a tribal nations conference this fall.
