Greek policeman shot dead in attack

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Authorities in Greece say a police officer has been shot dead in central Athens in a suspected terrorist attack.

The officer serving in the anti-terrorism division was killed by gunfire.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Wednesday's shooting. Local militant groups have stepped up attacks since massive riots in December, triggered by the fatal police shooting of a teenage boy.
